Topic: duplicate project
Vega Strike has been duped once again:
-.-
Yes, it's very annoying to have to find all instances of the same tag, and this can only lead to data fragmentation which is no good.
I just added "Vega Strike", only to find that it was already in the database.
Here's the one that was already there
Is there a way to merge them instead of just deleting one or the other? The older should probably be the entry that remains, especially because the source has already been analyzed, but I think mine has a better description, and the "related programs" seem to be more on-target (this is because of the tags, right?)
You really should at least run a search on new project submissions. I mean, these two entries have the exact same name. I thought I searched beforehand, but I may have searched for "vegastrike" instead of "vega strike" so it didn't come up.
Actually, if you were able to interconnect projects with a series of meaningful relationships: dependencies, concurrent projects, fork projects, etc., you could create a relationship map that would probably be quite useful.
Ex. if users have contributed this information, someone looking for information on a project that appears to be dead could find links to active forks.
