Your idea for a temporary fix of a "Please update this project" button would be greatly appreciated! :)

When I signed up for Ohloh I didn't have a Gravatar, but I like my Ohloh account so much that I went out and signed up for one. This was several months ago now, and I don't have an icon here yet... ... [More] does Ohloh update from Gravatar at any point? I kind of assumed that Gravatars were dynamic and just linked from their servers anyway. Must be wrong. [Less]

I think that the resistance to change (which will primarily come from ppl whose rank drops due to the new algorithm) could be mitigated by some transparency. I'd like to see the changes happen sooner ... [More] rather than later, but as long as you guys put up a page explaining the changes and why you made them (possibly with a basic overview of the new algorithm) I would assume that the reception would be pretty good. Hi, Have you thought of making Ohloh open source? It seems 1) Very appropriate 2) A great way to get a ton of free labor. The majority of the corpus of open source engineers probably use the site ... [More] and would like to help get new features out just so that they could use them. 3) It still doesn't have to be FOSS. But it would be cool if we could contribute. Personally, I just want my project to be processed more often, so I'd love to look at how that is pulled/processed and optimize the h3ck out of it. Thx. [Less]

Is there a way to make Ohloh more likely to pull a project and process it? My project was pulled once when created, but now it's been more than a week. Hmm.... if Ohloh is Open Source, maybe I can ... [More] figure out a way to make the processing faster runs to check. [Less]
