Ohloh really needs this. There are so many awesome projects on Launchapd that ohloh isn't indexing because they're in bzr. And I'm moving a bunch of stuff over there. I really want to keep the ohloh stats up to date.

Could you provide regional metrics perhaps? This would probably only really work for contributors who have actually created ohloh accounts, and filled in their location information. But, it would be ... [More] nice to see something like, number of developers by Country, and possibly more fine-grained regions. Perhaps combining a bit of javascript with the embedded Google Map on a user page as well, to show the count of users in the map's area. It is hard to count all the little yellow place markers on the map, especially for areas like Boston or San Francisco where the count is very high. [Less]

Will the switch to svnsync allow removing that option? It's unfortunate that a lot of history is missing due to it, and therefore stats are not as accurate as they should be. Is it a huge performance bottleneck for ohloh?

Hi, I was wondering how exactly the SVN parsing decides when the history is too far back in time or something? There's at least one project on Ohloh, that I've committed changes to, but is not shown ... [More] that I have, in the Ohloh stats. The history information is available in the trunk version of the repository, and "svn annotate" shows the revision and everything properly. For some reason my commit count seems to be going down, rather than up. One factor related to this is that it seems Ohloh no longer thinks I have ever made a commit to Banshee. A week or so ago, it ... [More] listed the commits I made to that project. Also, the "GNOME" project doesn't seem to have had it's source updated on ohloh, in about 6 months, which is keeping 6 months worth of hacking I've done, out of my stats.
