I took over maintaining Xerces Perl in 2001 from the two previous maintainers Tom Watson (made the first bindings using Xerces 1.1), and Harmon Nine (the 1.3 bindings). Since then I've been the maintainer and primary developer on the project

I am the maintainer of the Xerces Perl project, and as of Xerces 3.0, the source codes have combined. Besides that Xerces Perl is heavily dependent on Xerces C, so I monitor developments, and sometimes contribute bug fixes.
