* What is Quantico?

* A framework to build web applications
* A platform for colaborative applications
* A set of inter-dependent libraries

In a quantico system, there are only informations, relations for those informations, and executable code that process those informations and relations. The informations are dinamic data, such as the relations.

Those informations can be any knowledge composition: people, messages, pictures, videos, etc. The relations are expresses through "tags". These are data that bounds information under a label.

The module architecture sets the foundation of a quantico system to operate using the informations and relations. The logical architecture sets the origanization (logic) and disposition of those informations in such way that is operable by the system.

This project aims to aggregate information and web content in association with users as a platform based on XMPP. On top of it, applications can be written to work with such scheme, enabling users to communicate and share information with a folksonomic model, between independent systems.

Initially, it was an idea I had to print my poetry blog in a "book format".
(http://metal.alucinados.com)
Today, it works most for my own blog, and only with text posts (no images yet).

What will it be?

1. Online content authoring;
2. PDF export;
3. Work as a feed agreggator;
4. Build a book from a tag, mixing many authors, for example;
5. Print and Distribution service support;
6. etc.

The first version of Ema was wrote to be used in EMSL (Encontro Mineiro de Software livre) a free software meeting that happens in Minas Gerais (a Brasil state). In 2008 this system was improved and we started to remove some specific code to make it possible to use it to manage other meetings and events.
