With geoext, extjs and openlayers under the hood, the heron mapping client is an easy to configure browser based GIS framework. Advanced functionality is not developed, but the look and feel and the modularity allow this viewer to expand.

If you want to integrate maps with limited GIS functions in your website, don't use heron-mc. If you want GIS in a browser, heron-mc will be a good starting point.
