G'day Robin and the rest of the wonderful ohloh team, Just a quick note to say that it looks like the enlistment for Finance::Quote ( https://www.ohloh.net/projects/finance-quote/enlistments ) is ... [More] stuck, and has been for some days. If you find the time to give it a nudge, that would be wonderful. Many thanks! Paul [Less]

Fixed! Apparently deleting my old position and claiming my new one works a charm. ;)

G'day Robin and the rest of the wondeful ohloh team, The Finance::Quote project has recently moved from using CVS to git. The conversion has gone smoothly, ohloh has picked up the enlistment, and ... [More] everything looks well. Unfortunately, I'm having some alias hiccups. I want to alias myself (Paul Fenwick, https://www.ohloh.net/projects/finance-quote/contributors/62558346202794 ) to the entry linked to my ohloh account ( https://www.ohloh.net/projects/finance-quote/contributors/62556198685309 ). However both contributors have the same name, "Paul Fenwick". Trying to enter "Alias Paul Fenwick to Paul Fenwick" using the alias tool fails (it doesn't show Paul Fenwick in the second drop-down). Is there anything I can do to get the alias working as intended? Should I (if it's possible) resign from the project and then reclaim my contributions with the new contributor details? Many thanks again for an awesome service, Paul [Less]

Aha! All the dos batch scripts that other people no longer have to write are being included in Perl's metrics. ;) On a more serious note, Perl is currently using perforce as a source control ... [More] system, but we're in the process of moving over to git. The git repos that ohloh are indexing are courtesy of Sam V, who has magic that tracks the perforce commits and turns them into git commits. When the move to git is completed (and I don't have a date for this), the location of the "official" Perl 5 repos may change again, so I'm not going to ask you to go digging through the history to see what's happened. I will let Sam know of the funny results, in case he feels inclined to pursue things furter. Many thanks again for your always quick and very helpful responses! Paul [Less]

G'day awesome ohloh team! It looks like the enlistments for the perl project aren't in great shape. The last update for most of the enlistments is 4 months ago, and some of them appear to have ... [More] failed entirely. I know the ninja ohloh spiders run automatically when they find themselves with free capacity, but I fear that the Perl repository may have become stuck. A lot has changed in the Perl source in the last four months. I know, because I'm coordinating the release notes for 5.8.9. ;) Many thanks, Paul [Less]

The enlistment for the autodie project at: http://www.ohloh.net/projects/autodie/enlistments appears to have been stuck in a state for failure on "Downloading source code history" for some days now. ... [More] The enlistement error suggests I report the problem here. The source is in a public github repository, was previously working fine, and I can confirm that I can anonymously clone the codebase just fine. I'm looking forward to having the enlistment work again, so if there's anything I can do to unstick things, let me know and I'll be happy to help. Many thanks, Paul [Less]

I'd like to put in my vote for a Perl module/project default icon. The plug style looks great, so options for images to put into the plug include: Camel (the traditional Perl mascot) Onion (as seen ... [More] at The Perl Foundation) The letters "pm" or ".pm" (for Perl Module) Using the camel or onion marks may require permission from O'Reilly or The Perl Foundation respectively, but in my experience the chance of them refusing is vanishingly small. -- Paul [Less]
