hi Hub, Sorry for the frustration - it was our fault. The bug was that the Git adapter didn't allow '~' characters in the url. I went ahead and fixed the bug and enlisted your project for you. Thanks for your patience

Hi Expose, Right now we really don't make money, but we plan to roll out some services in the future that we hope folks will want to pay for. We'll be ready to talk more about that in the next few ... [More] weeks so that we can get user feedback on some of these ideas. So please stay tuned. We would like to hear your opinion. Thanks for your patience. --Scott [Less]

As Jason wrote earlier we intend to release our project as open source. With that said we are a business and we need to be thoughtful about how we do that in the coming months. We would love to be ... [More] stacked by our users and to have folks using our project in interesting ways. It's a good idea to make the forum searchable. Frankly, we never realized that there would be enough posts to require search for our forums :-) The intent of the clause that is quoted from our terms of use is to ensure that we have the ability to post what users write on this forum or what they post on the project pages with no restrictions. This works the other way as well. I point out to you that there are no restrictions on how you might use content posted anywhere on this site. I hope this is helpful. [Less]

We make a little money from advertising and we don't plan to "improve" our ad revenues by bombarding our users with ads in the midst of our content. We intend for this information and metrics service ... [More] to always be free. In the coming weeks and months we will roll out some cool new services some of which will be free, others that will be fee based. As our planning gets a little more solid we'll let you know in more detail what our future plans are. [Less]

Over past several weeks we received a lot of constructive suggestions for our site. The suggestions can be grouped into five areas: UI improvements, project editing, project requests, discussions and ... [More] notifications. Improving the UI: We have removed parts of the site that folks didn't use and have made the current site more readable and navigable. Editing a Project:You can edit a project by logging in and using our wiki to edit items such as the project description, project homepage, and the project source code repository. Adding a Project: You can put projects into the system to be indexed by logging in and supplying a project description, a project homepage and project source code repository information. Discussions: We've added this forum page as well as project forum pages so that users can debate Ohloh's service and a project's metrics. Receiving Notifications: Our users can receive notifications via RSS such as when a project has been indexed, when a project has been updated and when someone has posted to a particular discussion. I'm sure that Jason and Robin will go into more depth about these changes in this forum and on the Ohloh blog. We hope these improvements to our site make Ohloh more fun and useful. Give it a try and please let us know how we can make further improvements to our service. Thanks, --scott [Less]
