Pros: Really lightweight torrent client. Works flawlessly (0.71 tested) and easy to use. Mac version fits the whole OS X environment nicely.

Cons: No RSS feeds yet. Can't select to download certain files from a torrent.

Notes: libtransmission is also used for other torrent clients.

Pros: Perian adds support to ALL quicktime enabled applications for almost all file types. Applications include Quicktime itself, Frontrow, Backrow (AppleTV) and iTunes.

Cons: Perian lacks support of only one open-sourced and highly popular filetype: Matroska.

Notes: iTunes imports ONLY .mov files. This means that a reference file needs to be created. Same goes for Backrow.
