Topic: Use code_swarm to show activity video

I recently discovered a project called code_swarm (http://vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/~ogawa/codeswarm/ ) which generates great-looking videos of the activity of a project.

I think it might be a real bonus to the current tools used to show the activity of any project in Ohloh.

The code is open-source but apparently there is a need for a data file of some kind (no idea what that is yet, but I'm sure it's not a big deal).

Topic: PHP Eats Rails for Breakfast

Is Java so low in the stats that it doesn't even appear? Just wondering... What is the proportion of other languages in these charts? (C, C++, Java, whatever...) Statistics are never easily interpreted and I think most of us know it, but it's always nice to have some at hand, so I consider the article a good thing overall. Is there a way to access global statistics like this on a dynamic page?
