Some projects don't use a public repository for code, they only provide zips and/or tarballs. I realize it would not be possible to provide all of the information that Ohloh currently provides for projects like this, but some information would be better than none.

This had been covered before in the FAQ. However, due to the high popularity of this recurring request, we're starting to turn around on this idea. Thanks for the feedback - it's making a big impact on our upcoming features.

I want tarball analysing, too! For security reasons I can't provide anonymous pserver access as i am hosting our group's code ourself.
