Hello, I've looked over the estimated cost for some projects like in firefox: https://www.ohloh.net/p/firefox/estimated_cost
I was wondering if the actual effort for this project (or any other project for that matter) is documented. Like say for example, for firefox the estimated effort (from COCOMO) is 1588 person-years. Is the actual effort for this project documented? That way, we can also compare the accuracy of the COCOMO. Also, it would be possible to develop an estimation model that would be most suitable for FOSS projects. What are your thoughts on these? :)
