Heh, thanks.

It's not the first time, but the difference is that this time our site didn't crash ;-).

Getting slashdotted just ain't what it used to be....

It's funny timing. We were literally minutes from rolling out a web site redesign when the slashdotters started to arrive. We decided that deploying a whole new web site might be a bit risky under the circumstances, so we've postponed the new UI until tomorrow -- much as we would like all of our new first-time visitors to see our new UI.

Yeah - 'root' as in "we couldn't agree on another word to mean the 'main' ohloh website'". There are more services coming, you see.

Anyway, it was a short-lived, aborted attempt at deploying our new UI. We'll have to fix a few performance bugs first.

I don't see it mentioned, but I see on my new UI page that all those that I gave kudos to are all showing the "1" rank icon, when I don't think any of them are below 7 or 8. The kudos that I've received all look correct.

OK, this looks like a bug in one of our queries. It's on our bug list. Thanks for reporting it.

We've just release a whole new web site, so I imagine there will be quite a few little things like this...

I have to admit I much preferred your old design. On the front page for each project all the information is now at the bottom of the page instead of right at the top.

Would it be possible to make the center column expand to fix the screen, about 60% of my widescreen is white with the current theme.

I made a change to the project page - let me know what you think. Going to a fluid layout instead of fixed might be possible, but not it wouldn't be trivial - so I can't get to it right away.

Let me know if you have other suggestions to improve the site. Thanks a ton for your feedback.
