"Names instead of numbers"
One small, but nice, feature of flickr.com is the option to customise certain URLs. Instead of flickr.com/photos/some12344553number you can customise it to flickr.com/photos/reinoutvanrees, for example.
Just psychologically I'd like to have this option for at least the user profiles, though it makes sense for projects, too. It just looks a bit nicer, that's all.

almost 6 years agoWe started out using project names in the URLs, but we rapidly got into trouble with duplicates. Rather than try to solve the problem at the time, we just switched to numbers. Someday when we have the resources, I'd like to switch to using names again.
