Seems that Alfonso Orozco is really mad at the Xomol Project. I wonder where he gets all his hate from.

Seems that he does not understand the concept of Open Source. Shame on you.
I guess he believes he is a prominence down in Mexiko, I wonder if he can give us a proof of his programming skills in this forum, I doubt.

Maybe he would be so kind in showing us his achievements, maybe he can give us an url of his own Projects. For what I have researched I only found quite a lot of hate post in several forums, seems that this guy has autoproclamed himself as a shaman or something like that. Anyway you guys want probably Google his name and find out that this guy has been fighting his whole life everyone on the net.
But let’s concentrate on the topic Xomol.

I have been using Xomol since a couple of months, what can I say, I like it, it has helped me develop my appz saving me time, lots of developing time. The core engine is fast and can play almost anything you drop on it. I work for Hanse Merkur (an Insurance Company here in Germany) and have implemented Xomol on several Intranet Appz with success. Our company staff as well as de hundreds of agents around Europe, North Amerika and Asia speak over 20 different languages, thanks to Xomol I can make the systems work smoothly and fine.

The newest version of Xomol can be installed in less than 3 minutes. Everything works just fine. Xomol had a XSS security issue on versions v1 and v1.2 but as far as I know those issues where at their time very common on other CMS like Joomla and Drupral. All of them are great software packages and have updated their packages and now safe to use. Thanks to the Open Source community.

-->You don’t understand that each module is 100% independent. Xomol’s approach of his Installer is very good, It allows programmers like me to setup customized backbones without having to update the whole DB dump. I love Xomol’s Installer!

-->The DB dump is in development, for what I know the Xomol Team is getting ready to offer a multi DB support (Sybase, Oracle, SAP, etc). The system works fine for me! I must confess that I had to fix some Indexes and stuff but it really works fine.

-->The XSS issue has been fixed since version v1.3 if I am correct. I don’t know what version is Alfonso testing. The XSS issue came also in several mayor CMS Projects like Joombla, Nuke, Drupal, etc. Even in the Forum that Alfonso Orozco is currently using on his sites!

This dude Alfonso has a problem. He seems to be mixing his personal life depressions with the spirit of open source. Has anybody even hear about him before? I men, who is this guy that proclaims himself a PHP guru? Has anybody seen any of his achievements regarding his programming skills?

Not me.

I am using Xomol since 2 months, I have used Drupal, is good, I have used Nuke, was the best, I have used OSCommerce, I loved it. Now I use Xomol CMX and I feel great.

Somehow it feels good to be an underdog. I mean, small independent projects are cool to use, it gives you somehow that independent touch. And I love not to be like anyone else.

Xomol CMS is I think more than a simple CMS, considering that it was made I think by Mexicans (I love burritos) is not bad at all. I am not a PHP guru but I have my years in eCommerce and for what I saw in Xomol, those guys have something really big in mind. Xomol at it’s current Stage is very stable and the core engine can play everything. I have done lots of extensions for Typo3, Drupal and OSCommerce and importing them to Xomol was so easy, in most of the cases I didn’t even had to touch the original code. Xomol CMS integrated it in no time for me. Thanks to Xomol’s user management I developed in 2 weeks a complete document management system for our Intranet. Developing new software has never been easier for me.

Alfonso must have a real personal problem with the main developer of Xomol, I wonder if Dave fucked his girlfriend. I even wonder if Dave even realize the shit that is being said in this forums. Anyway, before Alfonso does not offer us a proof of his scripting capabilities I would not bother about his comments. He says he has 19 years of experience (but I truly belive he is just a teenager playing to be an adult). For what I know so far, his critics about the Xomol Project are not well grounded and he has only proved his enormous lack of programming skills. There is only one opportunity to give a first impression and you Alfonso did it now.

Before you start complaining about other peoples hard work, you should post here a list of the websites and/of applications that you have done yourself.

Hi there.

As a mexican student in Computer Sciences at the Cal State Pomona in Southern California I am very proud to use Xomol at my projects.

Xomol is at the moment, the only mexican Open Source CMS available there. Somehow I feel very proud to use it, I mean, I have had my experiences with Joombla and Nuke and I found them very usefull, but still, for me as a latino, using a CMS from latinoamerica increases my autoestim.

I would like to congratulate the Open Source community in Mexico for their eforts in making Xomol posible. You are a great inspiration for all.

I am very happy to informe you that I just swiched from OSCommerce to Xomol.

And I feel great!

OSCommerce was good for me for many years, still, it got to heavy and it turned from day to day more dificulte to customize my customer's sites due to the lack of a real Content Manager for the shop.

Xomol solved the problem for me and is very light to install. I thank the OScommerce team for their great product, I basicly learn to program thanks to their shop, but now with Xomol my horizonts have been exponentialy increased.

Thaks Xomol team for your work, I will tray to make a few templates and send them to you hopping that my help will be useful for the open source community.

ps. I still have a question, is there any forum comming soon? we need to post our comments!

The password is diferent and don´t let you loggin, then the software don´t function whith the own password.

I can sign in, only when change the pass direct in the database (md5('your new password')).

Hi i think xomol is very unprofessional software because in spanish lenguage handles vulgar language and whole software platform is of little value

My name is Alfonso Orozco, citizen of Mexico, and programmer with 19 years of expertise. I be aware of the existence of xomol when the creator send my a death threat for a Stupidity. he forgot renew a nahual.net domain and i purchase the domain in february because i have the nahual.org, then him, David Guttmann, begin to make death threaths to me.

I am a program years, then i think my points are valid, and xomol, as the creator , xomol look as a very unprofeesional, unpolish and BAD design, with death harrassments or without them.

Because space i only put the 20 FIRST problems of xomol 1.5.2.2, but i get a 400 points and growing

11: The module for active users is 260 KB, and cane be done with 10 lines of code.
12: The "banners" module use more than 10 tables, and more than 6 MB (as example, drupal in the whole are 1 MB aprox)

13 : When i upload the code to cpanel, i receive an alert for too much *.php sending email, when the logic and teh control say is better use a library
14 : the main *.sql is 846 KB, then many users cant run as admin. I put the whole

The rare thing is the second file *.sql with test data, cause errors, then you need do by hand:

delete from contactus_departments
delete from contactus_departments_desc

And then run the insert of test data

by the way, is a strange design use a description for conctacts.
