An excellent Java Based CMS

  by john_kealy

I worked with several colleagues to evaluate some of the existing Java based CMS packages (lenya, openCMS and Daisy) and daisy won (with Lenya a close second) on easy of use from both a developer and user perspective.

The primary developers are committed to the project and post often on the community boards.

Well ahead of other Wikis & CMSs

  by kevin_walsh

We were in need of a documentation server that was able to produce printable documentation, had authentication, was multi-lingual, enabled online editing, and - yes - was opensource.

After looking through (and test-installing) different Wikis (mediawiki, dokuwiki, Twiki), and CMSs (Typo3, joomla) which all had their problems, we discovered daisy and are well ahead now!

While it's not really easy to understand, it is a piece of cake to get a basic install running and to convince your CEO of it!
