There's no easier way to open links in a terminal

  by Nigel McNie

This plugin is an amazing usability booster. In any terminal I'm using, I can just cycle through URLs in it with Alt-U, then open them with enter or copy them with 'y'. Dead simple, faster than using the mouse, and doesn't need the support of the application being run (vim, irssi or whatever).
