This library originally shipped as part of the SDK for the EmbeddedFusion Tahoe Development kit. All of the code, even in the origianl SDK, was covered by a BSD like license, however since it was only included in the Tahoe kit that fact was lost and most users didn't realize that. So the plan came to place the code up on codeplex so there was no confusion about what is covered under the BSD license. When Device Solutions acquired the assets of EmbeddedFusion the separation of these libraries from the Meridian and Tahoe were formalized in the transfer of the SDK to Telliam Consulting LLC.
