Version 1.2.0.beta1 released

Please note this is a beta version. Then it may contain some bugs. It is released so users may test it and report some problems before the final version is delivered.

You may also directly download it from the download repository.

New documentation for developers

New pages have been added in the developer documentation. They contain information about translating GCstar and about creating new websites plugins.

You may discuss about them in the forum for developers and contributors, or edit them if you find some mistakes or want to add more information.

This version only fixes some bugs

Bug fixed when items are grouped and the grouping field is changed.FilmWeb plugin was not working anymore because of website changes.Better layout for Paths tab in preferences.You may also read the full GCstar changelog.

No new feature in GCstar for a few weeks

Some parts of GCstar need to be rewritten. This will improve performances and make easier the development of new features. I (Tian) will focus on that for next weeks. So in the meantime, I won't develop new features. There will be only bug fixes in ... [More] some 1.1.X versions.

But if some contributors want to submit patches or new plugins, they are welcome and I'll be happy to integrate them in GCstar. [Less]

Presentation of GCstar

The presentation of GCstar that was used during "Les trophees du Libre" is available online. Both English and French versions are presents. It consists of a few slides describing main GCstar features.

Feel free to re-use it if you wish to show what GCstar is to some people.

New wiki and forums changes

A wiki has been created for GCstar: http://wiki.gcstar.org/en. It contains all the documentation that were existing on the website. Please feel free to correct any error you could find in it and to add any information you could find useful. You may ... [More] edit the pages without being logged in. But to create new ones, you need to have an account. This account is shared with the forums, so you don't have to create a new one if you already used the forums.

The forums look has been changed so it better integrates in the GCstar website (as the wiki does).
