A scheduler written in BASH to schedule and pilot BASH jobs.
In many cases, an administrator needs to run several jobs in parallel, and then wait for every jobs complete successfully before running another script. When this sequence has to be done onto many systems, this could be painful.
alasib is a project that addresses this specific need. It performs a scheduling sequence that is able to:
run many jobs in parallel be aware of the completion status of any of these jobs manage time out and dead-lines for any of these jobs manage dependencies between several jobs alasib stands for "At Last A Scheduler In Bash".
