Autonomous Grabbing RobotThis project is to create a robot with articulated arms (3~6 joints), placed on a wheel or legged motion platform, that can automatically searches color- and shape-featured objects and put them into also color- and shape-featured brackets. The vision system would be to use a webcam, with 30 f/s, 640*320 or higher.
This project may contain several phases:
1. Using Lego MindStorm to build wheel platform, arm. The webcam is statically installed above the playground where objects, brackets and the robot are located, i.e. a global vision system. The objects and brackets are also statically put.
2. Objects and brackets may slowly in motion. The speed of motion will be slow enough for the global webcam to do the dection algorithm.
