Want To Get Started? The no. 1 thing that needs to be done is start the teddy in c# implementation

What's That?

Teddy is the ultimate in simple user interaction. The 3D geometry is generated with simple drawing gestures.

Check out Teddy: A Sketching Interface for 3D Freeform Design http://www-ui.is.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~takeo/papers/siggraph99.pdf

and a working JAVA implementation

I reciently contacted Takeo Igarash who had this to say:

thank you for your interest in our work. if it is only for personal research / educational purpose, it is not necessary to do anything. please feel free to implement it and use it. if you plan to use it for commercial purpose, you need to talk to the university's tech transfer office to get a lisence. i personally pretty much interested in seeing silverlight version of 2.0 and apprecite your interest. thanks takeo</description>
