cabind is a perl script that downloads and assembles multipart binary attachments from newsgroups with various filtering and call back script features. Intented to use as a cron job.
Requires perl modules:Net::NNTP by Graham Barr Convert::yEnc by Steven McDougall (which requires Set::IntSpan, also by Steven) Features:Downloads and maintains a header database Multiple filtering opportunities, including REGEX accept/reject patterns, REGEX file type patterns, article sizes, min-max file sizes REGEX priority filter, download matching first, non-matching later Multithreaded downloads Recognizes and downloads multipart binary attachments (files) Recognizes associated files (collections of files, such as multiple rar-files) Download collections only if repair is possible (using par2 files) Support yEnc Optionally call user-defined post processing script Limitations:Not supporting multiple servers on single download No download speed limit Not supporting secure connections
