As its name implies, ColorShrink.NET reduces the file size of images via shrinking their number of distinct colors, a process commonly known as color quantization.

There are already many great color quantization techniques in existence, this project is mostly just a good gateway for me to make my foray upon windows .NET programming with C#.

But also I was once told that there are not that many free color quantization tools available out there that could handle images with multiple level of transparencies. If that is indeed true, then maybe this project could actually be of help to someone out there after all.
