Dear Saros users,

the new Saros version also included a fix in the SMACK library that is
still not available in the current SMACK release and offers you the
opportunity to establish direct SOCKS5 connection regardless of
the XMPP ... [More] server you are using. This should be a major improvement for
Saros users that use the Google Talk service.

We hope that you enjoy Saros as much as we do.

Best regards,

Long time no see, but finally the Saros Team is proud to announce the release of version 13.3.22.
Instead of just fixing bugs, this release provides you with a bunch of new ... [More] features:

* Saros now supports session-independent 1-to-1 chats enabling a direct communication with your buddies.

* The multi user chat has been improved by providing more and better notifications as well as fixes.

* We introduced a new color management, which tries to ensure that you always get the same colors
in your session, independent of who started the session in the first place.
To achieve this, we had to restrict the freedom of choosing any RGB color to a strict five-color-mode,
which has been optimized for readability and distinguishability -- even for color blind users.
However, you can still change your preferred color in the Saros Preferences under "Saros" > "Appearance".

* Since the computation of the contribution annotations (who wrote what) are CPU intense,
we made this an optional feature. You can now disable the computation in the preferences
under "Saros" > "Advanced" > uncheck "Show contribution annotations".

* Furthermore, only the session host can invite additional users to a running session. This was a neccessary regression to gain more stability and ensure data integrity.

Additionally, you will find many minor fixes and usability improvements.
Check out the changelog below for more information.

For stability reasons some internal changes have been made.
As a consequence Saros 13.3.22 is not compatible with previous versions,
so that all session participants need Saros 13.3.22 (or later) to work together.

Install and update Saros 13.3.22 via our Eclipse Update Site: http://dpp.sf.net/update

For more information visit http://www.saros-project.org.
Please note that we upgraded our website, which got a new design and a far better structure.

Many thanks to the users who participated in our survey and to everyone who helped us improve our plug-in!

Best Regards,

* We removed the feature "Scan Workspace" since it did not work the intended way.

* The experimental features are now disabled by default. They can be enabled on the "Advanced" page in the Saros Preferences.

Additionally, you will find some minor fixes. Check out the changelog below for more information.
