exec09 is a simulator for the Motorola 6809 processor. It can read binary/S-record files, simulates the entire 6809 instruction set, and implements a hypothetical machine that provides I/O, bank switching, and a persistent disk storage. The machine definition is extensible and could be used to implement additional architectures as well.

exec09 uses autoconf and should be portable to any UNIX-like operating system.
