Exponent is my CMS of choice

  by kit-webtech

Before I set up our city website, I tested a host of open source CMS: Joomla, Mambo, and a few others I don't remember.

Each of them demanded a learning curve that I don't have. After 7 to 14 days of testing I would uninstall each, getting more and more frustrated.

Then I found ExponentCMS.org. I realized it was not as documented and not as "old" as other CMS, but in desperation I gave it a try.

Hooray!

Within ... [More] two (TWO - 2) days after installation I was up and running full force. The template design was a breeze - I did it from scratch, pretty much.

The city is more than happy with the results.

Exponent features a support forum that is ACTUALLY MANNED. You get a reply within the first day in general on any issue, unless they have to trouble shoot and recreate your error - then it may take a full day.

The support is friendly, knowledgeable - if I ever had to have custom coding done, I would not hesitate one minute to use the company that is behind Exponent: http://www.oicgroup.net/

Yes, I smile whenever I get to talk about Exponent. Almost a year after discovery, I am still as happy with it as I was the first day.
