Faye is simple image gallery software tailored toward smaller galleries. It allows anyone, even those with no experience, to create an easily-accessible, and somewhat flashy image gallery with little to no work involved.
Originally, faye was meant to be proprietary software for documenting Hurricane Faye through photographs (Aug 19, 2008). Faye ended up wimping out, but the name "Faye Gallery" stuck, regardless, and the project became open-source the very same day.
