<description>OverviewGAAS or Google Apps&#8482; Authentication Service let users of a premier or education edition Google Apps&#8482; domain authenticate against a supported data source (LDAP directory, database, file, POP3 server, RADIUS or by any other implemented PEAR::Auth Storage Container).

GoalThe main goal of GAAS is to provide a simple drop-in solution to centralize the authentication and authorization processes with popular (and even not so popular!) existing user management systems for the average organization.

GAAS is an extension of the sample PHP implementation for the SAML-SSO feature of Google Apps Premier and Education. However it re architects the main components into maintainable and loosely coupled units.

ImplementationGAAS is 100% implemented in PHP and uses some powerful third party libraries. It runs in any standard Web Server that supports PHP4 and above (currently tested in Apache)

Dependencies

xmlseclibs from Robert Richards. BDS Licence PEAR Libraries. Listed below PEAR::Auth PEAR::HTML_Template_IT Zend Framework 1.6

LicenceGAAS is fully open source and distributed under the MIT License also called X11 Licence. The licence terms are included inside the project at the COPYING.txt file.
