As you see, GD Taxonomies Tools plugin is now renamed to GD Custom Posts And Taxonomies Tools. Since WordPress 3.0 adds support for Custom Post Types, and implementation is close to Custom Taxonomies, I decided to add that to existing plugin.

There is no doubt about it, WordPress 3.0 represents significant step forward for WordPress with merging with WPMU adding custom post types and many more minor elements that you will notices as soon as you install it. But I feel that this major releases is rushed.

I wasn't posting news about releases of GD Star Rating on this website for some time to avoid duplicating info with official GD Star Rating website. But, since this 1.8.7 is likely to be last release in GDSR 1.x branch, this is a summary post about what's done and what's coming in GDSR 2.0.

With new WordPress 3.0 to be released soon, it's time to use some of the new great features this WP brings. And most important new element is support for custom post types. But, that requires some more testing and updating GD Taxonomies Tools plugin.

WordPress 3.0 is almost here, and the latest Beta 1 released last week is a good reference for what to expected. Some things were changed in the past 2 months with taxonomies in WP3, and here are new versions of GD Taxonomies Tools plugin to follow those changes.

Both themes and framework are updated. Number of improvements are added into the framework, mostly on the core level. Also, conditional loading for IE browsers is expanded with more options to load styling for different version of this problematic browser.

Second theme based on xScape Theme Framework has just been released. Theme info pages are updated, and this official stable release is also on the demo website. Theme has 12 default color styles built in, and all framework features fully implemented.

We are very busy with all the current plugins and the themes, but there is always some time at least for new things. And in the next 2 weeks we are starting development of new plugin under work name Post Enhancer, with first beta versions planned for end of April.

Soon to be released theme photoScape is now in late beta stage, with all the work done and only testing and bug fixing remains before releasing the theme. Right now theme is online on the demo website and also available for test run on your own demo blog.
