Project Summary

API and Tools for creating, editing and viewing the contents of the PC versions of the Grand Theft Auto series.

This API started as something to work on while sitting on the train for two hours every day in 2007, I had intended to release it in the summer of 2008, but due to work and the real world getting in my way it never happened. So instead of sitting on the code I am placing it here so others can use it and build up on it, I and hopefully others will continue to develop and it here.

-- Update --

Over the winter we haven't done much work on the API. After the release of GTA IV REspawn wrote a libary for the new texture formats. Also we have rewritten the render system completely. The API now come's with it's own small and basic streaming engine (including an object streamer for map objects and a octree for advanced rendering) which makes it possible to create a map viewer in just a few steps. However at the moment we are cleaning up and commenting the source to get it released. We hope this will happen pretty soon.
