Constraint-based scheduling tool for hospitals. Automatically generates schedules for a rotation of medical staff based on constraints, including:
Continuity of care during daytime shifts Balancing of night shifts across personnel Accommodates personal time off per staff member Ensures total number of shifts per staff falls within range, based on staff member's status (full or part time) In addition to automatically generating these schedules, HIPS allows administrators to save, load, and manually edit these schedules.
