The game itself consists of a grid of randomly colored squares. Starting from the color in the upper-left corner, the player changes the current color; all neighboring squares that matched the previous color then change to match the new color. On the next turn, the player chooses a different color, which changes all of the neighboring squares that matched the previous color to the new color.
(I have a hard time explaining it, but it's a pretty simple concept. ;))
