<body>Just some minutes ago I ended with some nice unittest results (1st time since tests were invented, lol!), and I wanted to share them with you: http://www.box.net/shared/nhx8rahl56 There are still more work to do (Oracle driver, more and more tests...) but, in any case, has been an enjoyable milestone for me. Go, #Moodle 2.0 DB API, go!</body>

<body>Today I'm going to be completely innovative and will skip any reference to our favourite LMS. So, apart from #Moodle... uhm... oh, no! I did it... again! :-( Will try to achieve this tomorrow, grrr! :-P :-D :-P</body>

<body>I've felt really nostalgic today. Two reasons: the first, I reviewed in the cvs history my first commit ever to #Moodle, it was one tiny change to moodle/course/teacher.php (non-existing nowadays), see MDL-261, more than 6 years ago!. The second, I attended to the worldwide avant premiere :-P of some cool Moodle stories by Helen, amazing! What a day, marvellous! Ciao :-)</body>

<body>Next 1-2 days I want to spend some time fixing / improving the XMLDB Editor (that tiny toy used to create #Moodle DB structures). So, if you have any idea / suggestion or if I've missed your existing bug when collecting them under the META umbrella... now it's time to add them ASAP to http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-19303 Ciao :-)</body>

<body>Following the idea commented in http://tinyurl.com/d39pm2, enums are 100% out from #Moodle 2.0 core. If your code is using them, it's a good moment to visit http://tinyurl.com/odaqxr and tell them, once and forever, "Bye, dear enums". Really easy to achieve, ciao :-)</body>

<body>Hi, since some minutes ago one experimental feature (MDL-18468) has landed to 19_STABLE and HEAD: Split moodle.xml into smaller parts for later processing. This is performed by one "preprocessing" preliminary step and allows the rest of the process to run really quicker, avoiding n-plicate parsing of moodle.xml. Please, devs... enable it in your #Moodle envs. TIA!</body>

<body>If the answer is yes, please, take a look to http://docs.moodle.org/en/Installing_MSSQL_for_PHP#Using_FreeTDS_on_Windows . There are some new PHP drivers for Win32 that you should be using in your #Moodle servers ASAP (previous ones had some problems with NULLs, empties and friends...). Ciao :-)</body>

<body>It seems that the new #Moodle 2.0 Web Installer is working ok. Kudos to Petr for his huge work in that area! It performs really well and integrates one simple mechanism to create special distribution installers sharing the same code (like the used with the XAMPP Moodle Windows Packages). Go, go, go!</body>
