Ochan is a project to create a totally scaleable, distributable, and easy to partition imageboard application that is not only incredibly easy to start, its easy to monitor, maintain, extend, and use.

This is mostly a technology playground, but aims to end up being a useful example of how high-demand enterprise systems should be engineered while maintaining a small and easy to maintain code base.

Out of the box, Ochan can deploy as its own standalone war, or even further up the deployment chain, use a single build to cluster, partition out a REAL middle-tier, and segregate aspects of data to certain systems.. all with simple and standardized configuration through JMX.
