Project Summary

Darwin, a competition between self-reproducing programs, was conceived and played forty years ago at Bell Laboratories.

As the history of Darwin's been cut quite quickly when its creator made an indestructible species (program in the vocabulary of Darwin), rules have changed since then. Nowadays, the successor's been CoreWar.
