Python equivalent of google's GWT, i.e. you write Python code, then let a compiler translate it to javascript which can then run unmodified on both desktop and inside the browser.

NOTE: After a hostile takeover of the pyjs.org domain by a few disgruntled members of the pyjamas community on may/01/2012, thereby de facto setting aside the lead developer and main innovator of the project, replacing the mailing list with a different one, and leaving the web site in a non-working state the future of this framework at the time of writing seems uncertain. Let's hope its future is brighter than it seems right now.
