IntroductionThis website is about the first world war. It's essentially written by french authors but has the will to show orginal aspects of the war. The original website was http://regards.grandeguerre.free.fr which is currently used as I wrote. It's static content based site which is causing updating problems. I'm trying to bring a new version of the website using a proprietary domain name and a better hosting (OVH).
The projectThis project is an administration interface for the future website (http://www.regards.grandeguerre.fr). The interface is hosted at http://www.administration.grandeguerre.fr. For the moment, an in-development version is available for testing support of its behaviour on the host and speed optimizations. This version is updated some times when stable beta versions are ready.
Client partThe javascript and AJAX interface is based as much as possible on the DOJO framework. It's a single page which is never reloaded. It uses the dojo core and dijit widget feature extending or creating several widgets which may be proposed to the comuunity later (when I'll have the time!). All the modifications are done under two different namespaces (dojoa and dijita) which is a great functionnality of dojo allowing us not to modify its sources code and system directory system. This helps upgrading the interface to more recent version of dojo.
Server partThe server part of the project is highly based on the Zend Framework functionnalities. A recent really good news for me was the support of dojo added to the PHP framework since its 1.6 version! I used MVC, Layout, Database, XML even if all the communications between dojo and the server are JSON based. I'm currently realizing the documentation of the project using code documentation tools (jsDoc-toolkit and phpDoc). Next will come several articles about how is built the interface because I faced a lot of problems (especially due to the lack of documentation!) and I think that we wan learn a lot of concrete project realizations.
Ohloh computes statistics on FOSS projects by examining source code and commit history in source code management systems. This project has no code locations, and so Ohloh cannot perform this analysis
Is this project's source code hosted in a publicly available repository? Do you know the URL? If you do, click the button below and tell us so that Ohloh can generate statistics! It's fast and easy - try it and see!
