Scambio aims to be a free and simple unified communication system.

What it does is simple : convert all kind of incoming messages/communication stream to a simple yet flexible format, easy to synchronize to all of a user devices, and the other way around.

A set of small client softwares (currently GTK/Maemo) allow to send messages, chat (to be done), share calendar events, files, manage bookmarks and contacts, and so on. Actually, the underlying protocol being "usage-agnostic", many other uses are possible, including real-time communication (VoIP).
