SpringOne 2GX 2009 Keynote: Rod Johnson

0.52:35: Graeme Rocher, head of Grails development at SpringSource, demonstrates the new Groovy and Grails tooling in SpringSource Tool Suite 2.2.
1.04:00: For the finale, Jon Travis demonstrated the brand new tc Server Developer Edition, an enhanced Apache Tomcat that provides Java developers with unparalleled insight into the performance and behavior of their Spring applications.

DI Wizardy with Spring Expression Language presented by community member and Spring In Action author, Craig Walls, provided details about the new configuration options for Spring beans.
In Running Java and Grails applications on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud , cloud expert Chris Richardson discussed the systems and tools that helped him to create SpringSource Cloud Foundry.
Groovy Ace, Guillaume Laforge, talked about how to use Groovy to Design your own Domain Specific Languages. With the release of STS 2.2, Groovy now has first class support in the Eclipse IDE.

What's New in SpringSource Tool Suite gave detailed updates about all the new features in STS that were demoed at the show. With the brand new STS 2.2 release, developers can now get a tool that combines the best environment for building Spring and Groovy and Grails applications.
Jeff Brown's session on Grails Internals gave a packed house a great opportunity to see inside the fastest growing platform for rapid web application development - built on Spring bricks.
Mark Fisher covered all the new features in Spring Integration 2.0 Preview. Mark and Jeremy Grelle demonstrated how to do integration without an ESB and paired it up with Spring Blaze DS to show an Adobe Flex client.

tc Server Developer Edition enhances Apache Tomcat to provide Java developers unparalleled insight into the performance and behavior of their Spring applications via the Spring Insight console. This product is in developer preview and is free to download and use.
The next release of SpringSource Tool Suite will include the most advanced Eclipse tooling available for Groovy and Grails.
Spring 3.0 is in the final stages before general release. Rod encouraged everyone in the community to download the releae candidate, check out the new REST and configuration features and get involved with giving feedback to the development team.
