Project Summary

I plan to write a front end for managing SquidGuard config files for use with Squid/SquidGuard to manage access control for networks. Having worked in education IT for 15 years it has become apparent that there are no decent solutions for very selective filtering of internet access on a source/destination/time basis. The nearest one (and the one I have used for years) is squidguard, but there are no useful frontends, and one typo in the configs file and the server crashes. It would also be nice to be able to link into other services to provide eg dynamic user lists, timetable info and various lists of allowed/blocked sites.
