Today someone sent me an exploit for the Windows version of XAMPP: Using our xampp/adodb.php and a buffer overflow vulnerability in mssql_connect() the exploit is able to call arbitrary(!) commands on the targeted system.

In this version we updated both PHP versions (to 4.4.7 and 5.2.2), MySQL (5.0.41) and phpMyAdmin (to 2.10.1). In the Windows beta we also fixed the security vulnerability published April 28th.

The autumn comes, and besides of chilliness and early gingerbread it brings also new versions of XAMPP for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
