XMMS2 with Python Bindings = awesome
I had to figure out to do transcription from OpenOffice, which requires controlling audio from OpenOffice, as well as the ability to paste time stamps into the document and to seek to a timestamp inserted earlier. With XMMS2 it turned out to be remarkably easy. I could pick one of several front-ends for opening files (I settled on Esperanza), added Metacity key bindings to command line calls to xmms2, and wrote a python script to control the playback. And it all works together so well, thanks to the modularity XMMS2 provides. 2 out of 2 users found the following review helpful. |
