xulrunner - retrieve from Mozilla.com ffmpeg lame mpg123 mpeg codecs for MPEG 1, 2, 3, 4 (@) ecasound (@) Ubuntu Feisty already comes with these, I discovered. 

Ubuntu users can use apt-get and automatix to easily retrieve and install all of the above except xulrunner, which you can pick up from Mozilla.com.
