I think that isn't any way to validate certifications.

Ohloh listing on Wikipedia

Hi Daniel, I don't know—I think OS project listings are an exception from this point of view, with developers curating content, checking for inaccuracies and upgrading an article when, say, a ... [More] release is available (at least this is the case for wiki engines, the area I'm more familiar with). I witnessed in the past many cases of people challenging the "notability" of OS projects on more or less arbitrary grounds, with votes for deletion and everything, and the topic of notability in the area of FOSS is still a hot issue. But my feeling is that notability (i.e. an article's right to existence in WP) and the legitimacy of developers' edits on the project they maintain are really two distinct issues. This said, I'd be rather surprised to hear someone question the notability of a project as Ohloh. As far as I can tell, it's bad manners to edit your own profile(s) Jason, you seem to equate editing a page on a topic one is involved with with posting information that is not factual. I wouldn't see any harm if you guys wrote a bit of history of Ohloh and gave some facts & figures that can be verified, but maybe I'm missing something... /me off to post some blatantly false information on your behalf :) [Less]

Dear Robin, thank you for all these explanations. Our project is Lutece (7203). We are conscious of the load of treatment. The first loading lasted 8 hours. The information presented on your site is ... [More] relevant and pleasant to consult, at the same time for the users but also for us. We are impatient to see the next evolutions. Cheer still for this site which we will follow with much interest. [Less]

Primary Language: HTML?!

Uh, actually, it wasn't a single HTML file. It was all our doxygen-generated documentation, so it was about 50 different HTML files. But it very likely added up to at LEAST 44K. And I know just what ... [More] to commit. Here's an AWFUL, AWFUL solution to a primality test that someone submitted to a coding contest I run. It'll surely be adequate to overshadow the HTML side of things: http://idlesoft.net/prime1.cpp [Less]

On a related matter, when a particular project hasn't been updated for say like 14-15 days it would be interesting if there would be a note or possibly description telling why this is so (like if the server was dead at previous attempt or whatever).

Provide more control over RSS subscriptions. E.g. allow for changing the order in which subscriptions are included, add an option for including only the title vs. title and content.

Interesting - I don't support there's anyway to validate that, eh?

Ohloh listing on Wikipedia

As far as I can tell, it's bad manners to edit your own profile(s). However, I've heard of Jimmy Wales and Leo Laporte doing it in some rare cases to correct specific statements that were false. Now ... [More] if only someone were to post false information on Ohloh.... Just kidding! [Less]
