You know how it goes. A great little project becomes more, and more complicated as the years go by. We know it by term bloatware, and Bill Gates introduced us to it.
OpenStar is not much different. Overwriting huge amounts of core postnuke files, it is without question a complete different path. The shear amount of additional files needed to run one module from OpenStar is shocking.
Watch which project you jump into, you may need to upgrade it in the future.
