ArgoUML in Google Summer of Code 2008

The ArgoUML project has, once again, been accepted by Google as an organization. We have already seen the first interested students asking questions on the mailing lists.

I hope that 2008 will be an as successful year as the previous two years with the Google Summer of Code work.

ArgoUML joins the Software Freedom Conservancy

    Hello all!

The ArgoUML project has taken a major step forward by joining the
    Software Freedom Conservancy.

Joining the Software Freedom Conservancy means that it is now possible for us in the ArgoUML project to accept donations ... [More] and use the donated money for the benefit of ArgoUML.

This opens the possibility for users and organizations that are eager to send money to the ArgoUML project to do so. There is, however, no urgency in doing so. The project continues as before with resources in time, network access and development machines contributed by the developers and you can continue use and work to improve ArgoUML just as before.

There are currently no plans or ideas on how the funds raised will be used.

If you would like to make donations for the benefit of the ArgoUML project, you can do so by sending a check together with a note stating that it is for ArgoUML to the Software Freedom Conservancy at

ArgoUML in the Google Summer of Code 2007

I am very glad to be able to announce that the ArgoUML project has been invited back a second time for the Google Summer of Code.
Last year (2006) was the first time we participated and we had then four students to work with different parts of ... [More] the code.

We are currently in process of receiving student applications and deciding on projects.
Google sets the schedule for this so for details, examine the Google web pages on the progrem.

Let's hope that this year's participation will be even more successful than the last year.
