Jaws 0.8.1 released

We are releasing Jaws 0.8.1, this release fixes many things like:

Fix issue with site_url registry key after upgrade from 0.7.x
Fix issue with gadget uninstalling after upgrade from 0.7.x
Fix problem in MSSQL driver
Fix in ... [More] Phoo gadget for show albums in descend order
Fix in PhooInsert plugin
Fix some minor bugs

Requirements

PHP >= 4.3.6
MySQL >= 4.1
Postgresql >= 7.4
Oracle >= 8.0
MSSQL >= 8.0
Firebird >= 1.5
Interbase >= 6.0
SQLite >= 2.8
Apache 1.3, Apache 2, Cherokee >> 0.4.29 (under fcgi) and IIS

Jaws 0.8.0 - First stable released

We are very happy to announce the first stable version of Jaws 0.8.0 which should now work on production systems.

And as you know, the next stable (bug fixes) versions will be numbered under 0.8.x (ie 0.8.1, 0.8.2... etc). If you want to use ... [More] the svn 0.8.x versions we suggest you to use the one located at:

http://code.jaws-project.com/svn/jaws/branches/0.8/

What is new in Jaws 0.8.0?

Language support for: Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian and of course English, Persian and Spanish!
DB support for: MySQL(i), PostgreSQL, Oracle, Firebird, Interbase, MSSQL and SQLite!
All gadgets output template are uniformed!
UTF8 full supported
Builtin RTL supported
Dynamic Layout with new interface
Powerful Menu gadget
IP/Agent blocking via Policy gadget
Advanced mail configuration
Web Services work fine behind proxy with Jaws

Jaws 0.8.0 - Second beta released

We are happy to announce the second beta of Jaws 0.8.0 (What we do in life echoes in eternity). And as you know... this is a release which 'should' work better than beta1 but NOT be used in production systems.

As usual, we provide three ... [More] tarballs:

jaws-core: Include core and core gadgets (useful if you want to use Jaws as a framework).
jaws-blog-system: include same as jaws-core but also some gadgets like
Banner, Blog, Chatbox, FileBrowser, etc..). Useful if you want to use
Jaws as a blog system and a theme.
jaws-complete: include everything

You can get these tarballs from our site.

Now, some notes about this version before you start using it:

Since this version ONLY users running 0.7.x can upgrade. Previous
versions are officially unsupported.
Make a backup of your database, you are warned!

What's new in this version?

Lot of enhancement and improvement stuff you will love
Oracle and Interbase/Firebird supported
New gadgets
New plugins
Built-in RTL(right to left) support
Many fixes from the first beta and new code!
