The UFRaw (Unidentified Flying Raw) is a tool for reading and manipulating raw images from digital cameras. It supports most of the existing raw formats (any format supported by DCRaw). UFRaw can be used on its own or as a Gimp plug-in.

Great tool to process camera RAW photos, with many options. It's still easy to use, does what it says it does really well and is sometime better than the closed codebase shipped with the cameras.
The gimp plugin is also very practical.
(I use it under OSX)
