Crossfire 1.11.0 has been released and includes numerous bug fixes and stability enhancements along with many minor changes and improvements. Some of the major changes include metaserver support in the client & server, and new objects added to game along with many map errors fixed.

Also released is v1.11.0 of the GTK-v1 and GTK-v2 Clients.

The GTK-v1 Client and GTK-v2 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements and bugfixes and support for the new metaserver.

The World Map has been updated with new maps along with various bug fixes and patches.

The Archetypes file contains various bug fixes, feature enhancements and improvements.

Crossfire 1.10.0 has been released and includes numerous bug fixes and stability enhancements along with many minor changes and improvements. Some of the major changes include a new protocol commands so the client can get data it didn't ave before, tweaks/adjustments to several races & classes, lots of code clean up – removing old/unused code and fixes for diagnosed crashes. This is the first official release since the migration from CVS to Subversion (SVN). 
 
Also released is v1.10.0 of the GTK-v1 and GTK-v2 Clients.  
 
The GTK-v1 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements and bugfixes. 
 
The GTK-v2 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements and bugfixes. Some of the major changes include a progress bar to display experience and Partial Resistance (PR) information within the client now updates properly.
 
The World Map has been updated with new maps along with various bug fixes and patches. 
 
The Archetypes file contains various new monster graphics floor type and graphic updates & improvements and necessary changes to support the map2 protocol.

Crossfire 1.9.1 has been released and includes numerous bug fixes and stability enhancements along with many minor changes and improvements. Some of the major changes include fixing several spells that stopped working with the new movement code in v1.9.0, addition of a 'Bot' flag to denote if a character is controlled by a real player, addition of a new map sending protocol (map2) - this adds more map layers for the client to recognize, code cleanup, and new configuration options in the server settings for permanent experience and experience loss upon death.

Also released is v1.9.1 of the GTK-v1 and GTK-v1 Clients. Both clients now have Alsa9 support re-enabled and support the new map2 protocol, auto completion for more commands has been added along with IPv6 support.

The GTK-v1 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements and bugfixes.

The GTK-v2 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements and bugfixes. Some of the major changes include support for lower monitor resolutions, inventory and metaserver lists are now sortable and a config window to set options has been added.

Crossfire 1.9.0 has been released and includes numerous bug fixes and stability enhancements along with many minor changes and improvements. Some of the major changes include the addition of discrete movement types and the addition of transportation objects such as ships controlled by players. The server now sends spell information to the client for a more friendly display. Player stealing from other players can now be disabled by an option in the settings file. A new plugin interface was implemented. Shop specialization was added. Shops no longer all give the same prices, instead varying prices based on what they normally deal with.

Also released is v1.9.0 of the GTK-v1 and GTK-v1 Clients. Both clients added support to request/receive spell information from the server. Fixed some display issues and added full automake support.

The GTK-v1 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements, and bugfixes. Some of the major changes include a clean-up of the less commonly used GTK 1 client options, either by removing them or making them always on. A spell selection dialogue window was added along with support for new pickup modes for the in-game character.

The GTK-v2 Client release contains minor improvements, numerous stability enhancements, and bugfixes. Some of the major changes include adding a keybinding interface window, a spell selection window. The client also allows the metaserver selection list to be stored on the different rows. There are also additional improvements for OpenGL mode that should make the client work on more displays.

The World Map has been updated with new maps along with various bug fixes and patches.

The Archetypes file contains various new weapons, floor types and graphic updates & improvements.

Crossfire 1.8.0 has been released and includes numerous bug fixes and stability enhancements along with many minor changes and improvements. Also added were new features such as the start of quest tracking system, better support of readable objects, addition of party/group based spells, improved smooth (graphic) sending code for client, and map region support. New maps have been added, as well as various fixes.

Also available is the addition of a pure GTKv2 client, including SDL and OpenGL drawing modes. Note this client should be fine for playing, but does not have all the features of the GTKv1 client right now.
